In anticipation of a Centennial Celebration in honor of the granting of its Charter to Anacostia Lodge, No. 21, this volume of history is presented in chronological order, publishing the  gratitude we owe to the Grand Lodge of the District of Columbia and to those of our members who by their dignity, behaviour and judgment have merited the honors conferred upon them, by their Brethren, since December 28th, 1868.

As near as possible we shall endeavor to present an accurate account of the principal events occurring in each Master's year or years.

This volume is compiled and published under the authority of Anacostia Lodge No. 21, F.A.A.M. of the District of Columbia.
